My friends and family call me Melie. If you’re here, you’re already becoming part of the BeauTemp family.

BeauTemp—pronounced “boh-TAHN”—is inspired by the French beau temps, meaning beautiful weather. To me, it represents warmth, joy, and the beautiful moments thoughtful gifts can create.

Growing up, Christmas has always been my favorite holiday.

My siblings and I looked forward to Christmas with so much excitement. It was the time of year when our mother would do her best to buy us toys, and those memories of giving, receiving, and sharing joy stayed with me.

Years later, after I married and started a family of my own, Christmas remained a special tradition—a time to share gifts with family and friends.

One Christmas, I decided to do something a little different for a friend. I selected some snacks I knew she would enjoy and arranged them beautifully as a gift created especially for her.

She loved it.

Soon, she began ordering baskets for her friends and family. Before long, I was receiving orders for birthdays and many other occasions. Closing-day baskets became especially popular with realtors.

In those early days, I didn't have the funds or storage space to purchase products in large quantities. So whenever I received an order, I would personally shop for quality items and create something unique for that particular recipient.

What began as a limitation became something I loved. I discovered that I didn't want every basket to look the same.

Creating each gift became a passion. I began searching for that “WOW” moment—the reaction someone has when they realize a gift was truly created with them in mind.

That feeling is still at the heart of BeauTemp today.

Knowing that something I thoughtfully create might make someone smile, feel remembered, or simply feel appreciated brings me absolute joy.
